Brandon Staley was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 2017 to 2023, finishing his career as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. Over his seven years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 58-57-0. He was the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers from 2021 until the 2023 season, during which time the Chargers went 24-27-0. During his career he was a head coach for three seasons. He was fired from the Chargers on Friday, December 15, 2023.

During the 2020 season as the defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams he coached Aaron Donald to the AP Defensive Player of the Year.
